Pressor response was significantly greater in the public employees than in the general population for systolic (8.9 ± 10.8 vs. -1.6 ± 13.2 mm Hg, p<0.0001) and diastolic BP (6.2 ± 7.9 vs. 1.3 ± 8.5 mm Hg, p<0.0001) even after adjustment for covariates.
